Snapping to a Single Axis
When you need to a snap Objects to a vertex on a target object, simply :
[1] press [w] for Translate(move)
[2] select the object
[3] press & hold the [v] key (snap)
[4] click on the the target vertex.
This will align all 3 axis to the vertex you selected.
To snap an Object to a single axis simply :
[1] press [w] for Translate(move)
[2] select the object
[3] press & hold the [v] key
[4] click on the axis of the Translate Manipulator you wish to align
[5] click on the the target vertex.
This will align the axis you selected on the Manipulator to the vertex you selected.
